Hailing from the literal streets of NYC, CATTERA is a feline four-piece fronted by reformed street cat Roope-Shakir, fur baby of Solid State Records marketing director Anna Mrzyglocki.
100% of the track sales and any additional donations will directly benefit Whiskers-A-GoGo, the Brooklyn non profit volunteer-run cat rescue group that got Roope-Shakir off the streets and into his forever home.
ABOUT WHISKERS-A-GOGO:
Whiskers-A-GoGo is an all-volunteer cat rescue group based out of North Brooklyn. Its mission is to find loving, permanent homes for abandoned, displaced, and shelter-surrendered cats. A registered 501c(3) nonprofit, Whiskers-A-GoGo works to rescue Brooklyn's cats and kittens in need by saving at-risk cats from shelters, abandoned cats and kittens from the streets, and practicing TNR for community cats throughout Brooklyn.
"I knew Roope-Shakir had star power from the moment he entered my apartment," Mrzyglocki says. "I heard his emotion-filled meows and knew he needed to be the front cat of a metal band. It sparked a passion for A&R I never knew I had. People may think CATTERA is just another 'industry plant,' but there's real talent here."
"I'm stoked to release my first track with CATTERA, as I'm a huge fan of OG animal kingdom metal bands like Hatebeak and Caninus," Roope-Shakir purrs. "I hope I can be an inspiration to all street cats who have something to say."

An excellent release that significantly improved from their previous albums. Blood Incantation's Hidden History of the Human Race sounds like Covenant-era Morbid Angel, Death, Brutality, Afterbirth, Lykathea Aflame, Atheist, and Cynic had a child. I really enjoy Blood Incantation's lyrical themes, while their name would make one presume they're about the occult or played-out satanic crap, they take a deep dive into the unknown of the cosmos and extraterrestrial beings. Excellent work!
